Sew Joyful Craft Group

The Sew Joyful Craft Group was started by Julie Clarke and currently meets fortnightly on a Saturday afternoon at Hope Café between 1 and 5pm.

We come together in fellowship, sharing and learning from one another. There is a core group of ladies who love the ‘me time’ this group offers, along with seeing the variety of crafts that people are doing, including sewing, patchwork, crochet, knitting, embroidery, card making, and many more. We also welcome ladies from the community who love crafting and would like to join us.

As we connect with people in the community and see a need, we believe that this will be a positive outreach to ladies who are lonely, new to town or just seeking to expand their skills.

The vision for the group is to offer a place for a variety of craft activities; that we may have a sewing table, a scrapbook table, a cross stitch table, a crochet or knitting table, and any other craft that crosses our path where we can either teach or learn a new skill.

The cost is $5 per week, plus a small plate of afternoon tea to share.

Each person brings their own project and equipment (e.g. sewing machine, fabric etc) but if
you don’t have anything, still come and we will share with you.
