Internships 2009

Next year we are planning to deliver a Certificate IV in Youth Ministry to the interns. This can be taken for credit or audit. Our overseeing authority will be The Australian Centre for Advanced Studies, based at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church.

 
 
Kalgoorlie Baptist Academy

The Academy aims to provide systematic training and support for people working in the ministries of KBC or similar minded organisations. The Academy is still in its initial stages of development, as is this website. Please see below for information on areas of the Academy we are planning to launch in the near future.

Making A Start
 We are showing a DVD series in November on Sunday evenings at 6.30pm called “Bringing up Boys” by Dr James Dobson. It will be held in the church. We will view two sessions per night, with a short discussion period in between. Please check out the main events page for the dates of this.

School of Performing Arts
The Academy [KBA] aims to prepare a steady stream of musicians equipped to minister in Churches and the community at large. It will-
a) Provide instrumental training at Goldfields Baptist College [GBC] and Kalgoorlie Baptist Church [KBC],
b) Organise and develop bands at GBC, 
c) Provide ongoing training and resource materials for bands at KBC

Strongman – School of Men’s Issues
KBA aims to research men’s issues, and resource and encourage men to be strong Christian leaders.

School of Church Leadership
KBA aims to source and deliver material which will strengthen deacons, elders, interns, small group leaders, ministry leaders and aspiring leaders.

Families
KBA aims to search out material which can strengthen families and deliver them in an adult education format.

Course Delivery
Some courses will be offered for credit or audit. Other courses will be short-term adult education courses.
